Botox Injections
Botox injections are a safe and effective way of reducing the appearance of lines in the upper face.
Botox is a medicine that reduces the tension and movement of muscles of facial expression, and relaxes the lines that are associated with these.
At Noaem Skin we have become experts in using just the right amount to achieve natural-looking refreshment of the treated areas.
Botox cannot be used anyone who is under 18 years of age, who is pregnant or breastfeeding, or who has a history of adverse reactions to the drug Botulinum toxin.
Total appointment time is 30-45 minutes including consultation, although treatment time is usually less than 5 minutes.
A series of very quick injections just under the skin in the areas that are being treated. These injections are often painless and do not require anaesthetic cream.
Arrive with clean, clear skin. Removal of facial hair is not necessary.
Your skin will be cleaned prior to treatment with an antimicrobial solution.
Most people experience some slightly raised bumps under the skin for 30-60 minutes after treatment.
You can return to your day-to-day activities immediately, although you should avoid any strenuous activity and alcohol for 24 hours after treatment.
Botox takes 3-5 days to start to work, and 2-3 weeks to reach full results. Effects gradually wear off but generally lasts 4-6 months.
Result and duration depend on the amount used; effects will gradually subside but generally lasts 4-6 months.
It is usually repeated 3-4 times per year to maintain results.
