Skin Peels
Chemical Skin Peels involve the application of an exfoliating solution to the skin to remove the outermost layers and encourage cell renewal. They also improve the skin’s texture and appearance including fine lines, pigmentation, lack of radiance and also breakouts.
Newer peels are regularly being formulated with minimal downtime and minimal to no peeling. Expect some mild tingling but no pain with the peels we carry out at Noaem Skin.
We generally have a Chemical Skin Peel for most skin types at Noaem Skin however it is crucial that your skin is assessed and the correct peel selected. It is also possible that your skin may need some preparation before having a stronger peel. This could include an advanced facial or a specific homecare routine. We will advise you of this should it be the case.
INTRO PEELS
If you haven’t had a chemical peel before, this is the place to start. We have two strengths of Intro peels which – although light – gently melt away the ‘glue’ holding dead skin cells together, so the dehydrated cells fall away, revealing a fresher, more radiant complexion.
At Noaem Skin, our Intro Peels are not ‘stripping’ so will not dehydrate the skin. They are formulated with Gluconolactone which is as effective as commonly used AlphaHydroxy Acids but much better tolerated.
Our lower strength Intro Peel is great for targeting fine lines, dullness and sensitive skin. It is also a brilliant option for skin of colour.
The higher strength Intro Peel targets pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. It contains Gluconolactone, Phytic Acid, Citric Acid and Glycolic Acid which when combined are clinically proven to deliver brighter skin, a more even complexion with a reduction in dark spots.
Both of these peels are followed by the application of a soothing cream with anti-inflammatory properties promoting positive healing. This builds resistance and strengthens the skin barrier.
We recommend a course of 4 peels spaced 2 weeks apart for optimum results however and one-off treatment will also benefit the skin.
AlphaRet Professional Peels
AlphaRet is an award-winning combination of a retinoid with glycolic acid and lactic acid. Retinoids are vitamin A derivatives which are the gold standard in skincare. They are used by medical professionals to treat many skin conditions and they rejuvenate the skin, reducing signs of ageing.
The AlphaRet Professional Peels also include salicylic acid and malic acid. They are ideal for anyone with mild or moderate sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dullness, blemishes and early signs of ageing
We have two strengths of this peel at Noaem Skin. As well as smoothing and softening the texture of your skin, we see great results on pigmentation, pore size, fine lines and wrinkles and also redness of the skin.
We would recommend a course of 3 peels – having one every 4 weeks – to obtain optimum results. However, having a one-off treatment would beautifully brighten the skin.
It is essential to have a consultation prior to this peel. We would need to ensure that your skin is in a good enough condition to undergo this peel and also that you have previously used a retinoid product.
The treatment has minimal downtime with most clients leaving the clinic looking radiant. You should not peel with this treatment however some mild flaking is possible.
Retinol Peels
Retinol is an exceptional skincare ingredient. It sparks cellular regeneration that can result in multiple benefits for many skin types and concerns.
Numerous studies have been carried out into its ability to reduce the common signs of accelerated ageing. Many of them have demonstrated its ability to improve the texture of the skin as well as hyperpigmentation while improving lines and wrinkles and sun damage. It is also a great option for treating and preventing blemishes.
Our Retinol peels are different from most other peels. They are applied in the clinic and you leave with them on. They give the skin a beautiful dewy appearance, no one will know you have a peel on your skin! You will then wash off the peel after a specific number of hours and use the products in the aftercare kit we will provide. You should expect some visible peeling with this peel.
We have two options of Retinol Peels:
- Our Retinol 1% Radiance Peel is suitable for most skin types as it is a gentler version. As the name suggests, this peel helps to improve radiance while smoothing the surface of the skin. It is great as an introductory retinol peel and you can expect some mild flaking from day 2-3 which can last up to a week.
- Our Advanced Medical-Strength Retinol 3% Peel is our most intensive peel that works to exfoliate your skin, improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help reduce acne and improve skin laxity while promoting a bright, even and clear complexion by targeting pigmentation. As well as helping to increase the thickness of the skin, it enhances collagen and hyaluronic acid to plump, lift and firm the skin. It is beautifully formulated with both soothing and calming ingredients alongside antioxidants to protect your skin. With this peel, you can expect to visibly peel from day 2-3 and this can last up to a week.
A course of 4 peels is recommended to achieve optimum results however even a one-off treatment will provide improvement to the condition of the skin.
